Crock-Pot Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
    4 carrots, sliced
    4 stalks celery, sliced
    1 small head cabbage, cut into eighths or smaller
    1 (6 oz.) can V-8 juice or tomato juice
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place browned meat in bottom of crock-pot.
    Layer prepared vegetables on top.
    Pour in juice.
    Cook for 4 to 5 hours on high. If you use rice, add during last hour of cooking.
    Serves 6 to 8.
