Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 deep dish pie crust, baked
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    few drops red food coloring
Preparation
    Chop one cup of berries.
    Combine sugar and cornstarch in pan. Stir water in gradually until smooth.
    Add chopped berries. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Remove from heat; stir in food coloring.
    Cool in refrigerator 1/2 hour.
    Pour 3/4 of syrup mixture into baked pie shell.
    Add remaining berries.
    Pour remaining syrup over berries.
    Chill until firm, about 3 hours.
