Asparagus Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. asparagus
    1 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
    2 to 4 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 to 2 tsp. vinegar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Break and discard bottom 1/8 of each stalk.
    Break remaining part into halves. Wash by soaking and rinsing.
    Boil or steam until tender.
    Do not overcook.
