Stan'S Chili With Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground beef
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. hot smoked sausage, sliced
    3 medium onions, chopped
    1/4 c. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. ground oregano
    2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
    3 (16 oz.) cans kidney and/or black beans, drained (save juice)
    1/2 c. catsup (up to 1 1/4 c. if too spicy)
    1/2 to 1 tsp. hot sauce if more heat is needed
Preparation
    Combine ground beef, sausage, onion and garlic in Dutch oven; cook until brown and crumbled.
    Add spices to tomato and bean juice, mix well and add to meat.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Add beans, simmer additional 20 to 30 minutes.
    Makes about 5 quarts.
