Squash And Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. squash, sliced
    2 c. onion, sliced
    3/4 c. American cheese, grated
    1 c. cracker or bread crumbs
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Boil squash and onion until tender.
    Butter a baking dish. Place layer of vegetables, then layer of crumbs, soup and cheese. Repeat.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Dot top with oleo.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
