Cherry Winks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
2 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
Preparation

Sift together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine shortening and sugar.
Cream well.
Add eggs, then add milk and vanilla.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Add pecans, dates and cherries.
Shape into balls.
Crush corn flakes and roll each ball in flakes.
Top each cookie with 1/4 of a maraschino cherry.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
