Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. warm water
2 pkg. dry yeast
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
coarse salt
Preparation

Mix yeast and water;
then
add sugar and flour.
Knead on floured surface and let raise in warm space for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Fill
pot
1/2
full
of water; add baking soda and bring to
a
boil.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut and twist into pretzel shapes.
Place on slotted spoon and lower
into boiling water
for
5
to
10
seconds.
Place
on greased cookie sheet.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
