Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour or less
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, except flour; mix well. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
Dough will be softer than regular dough.
Turn out on floured surface, knead lightly a few times.
Roll to 1/4 inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 about 15 minutes.
Makes 17 biscuits.
Use only 1/4 cup sugar if potatoes are naturally sweet and juicy.
