Christmas Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 c. white sugar
    1 1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Boil to 300\u00b0 on candy thermometer over medium heat; remove from heat.
    Add 1 teaspoon any flavoring oil to this.
    For example: cinnamon, anise; add a few drops any food coloring (coordinate flavoring and color).
    Have cookie sheet ready, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
    Pour mixture on sheet.
    Let it get hard, then break into pieces.
