Bruschetta With Fresh Tomatoes And Basil - cooking recipe

8 oz. ripe cherry tomatoes
2 to 3 Tbsp. olive oil
8 fresh basil leaves, shredded
2 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced into halves
8 to 12 slices French or Italian bread
salt and pepper
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Wash and cut tomatoes in half. In a bowl, toss the tomatoes with olive oil and basil. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Toast the bread on a sheet pan until crisp. Remove from oven and rub the garlic halves on both sides of the toast. Just before serving, top with tomatoes.
