Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. cold water
1 1/2 c. stone ground yellow corn meal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
Preparation

Combine and mix cold water and cornmeal.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to boiling water.
Add cornmeal mixture, stirring constantly, bring to boil.
Partially cover pan.
Cook slowly 7 minutes, stirring often.
Line bottom and sides of casserole dish with mush.
Cook beef and onion until brown.
Stir in flour, salt and chili powder. Add tomatoes, stir in tomato sauce and corn; spoon over mush.
Bake 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
