Louisiana Creamy Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. evaporated milk or thin cream
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. soda
1/2 stick butter or margarine
2 c. slightly toasted pecans
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except vanilla. Cook over low heat to soft ball stage on candy thermometer, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Add vanilla. Cool. Beat until thick. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
Leave on paper until firm and cool. Yields 20 pieces.
