Curried Split-Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 (16 oz.) pkg. dry split green peas
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 chicken bouillon cubes
dash of cayenne pepper
1 medium carrot, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. curry powder
Preparation

About 1 hour before serving, in 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, heat peas, remaining ingredients and 5 cups water to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 50 minutes or until peas are tender.
This is about 180 calories per serving and very tasty.
