Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. butter
1 lb. light brown sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating slowly.
Sift salt, baking powder and flour together.
Add milk and flour mixture alternately, covering nuts with last addition of flour.
Bake 1 hour and 25 minutes at 315\u00b0.
