Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolve in 2 Tbsp. or more warm water
    2 c. buttermilk (or 2 c. sweet milk with 2 tsp. lemon juice added)
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening, sugar and yeast (dissolved) with a pastry blender or fork.
    Slowly add buttermilk.
    Knead well.
    Cut out biscuits and bake 10 to 20 minutes at 400\u00b0 (depends on oven). Do not let biscuits rise.
    Makes tall, moist biscuits.
    This is the only recipe I ever use.
    Serve with fried chicken, sausage gravy or just jelly and honey.
    A big family favorite.
