Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust shell
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 c. chopped ham or crisply fried and crumbled bacon
    1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (I use Cheddar; Swiss is wonderful)
    1/2 c. cooked, chopped broccoli (optional)
    4 eggs
    1 can milk or 2 c. light cream
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0 while you make your crust.
    Sprinkle onion, ham, cheese and broccoli in crust.
    Beat remaining ingredients until blended; pour over ham mixture.
    Bake 15 minutes.
    Reduce oven temperature to 300\u00b0 and bake about 30 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean.
    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
    Makes 6 servings.
