Special Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 lb. Italian sausage
    1 egg
    2 slices bread, soaked in a little milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    fine bread crumbs
    1 large slice ham, thinly sliced
    1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Boil sausage about 10 minutes
    to rid it of excess fat. Mix sausage, hamburger, egg, bread, salt and pepper.
    Sprinkle a piece of waxed paper with bread crumbs.
    Spread meat mixture in thin layer over crumbs.
    Put
    a
    slice
    of
    ham
    over this, cover with Mozzarella cheese.
    Roll
    up
    like
    a
    jelly
    roll. Place seam side down in
    baking
    pan
    large enough to accommodate.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45
    to 60 minutes.
    Let rest for about 20 minutes before slicing.

    Serves approximately 8. May be frozen if you have leftovers, I never have had any!
