Dingbats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 pkg. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. Rice Krispies
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Combine margarine and sugar.
    Add well beaten egg and chopped dates.
    Cook over low heat until dissolved.
    Add 1 cup pecans and cook 10 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla; stir.
    Add Rice Krispies and mix well. Form into balls and roll in powdered sugar.
