Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 large egg
    1/4 c. milk
    2 1/2 lb. peaches
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    In bowl, combine 2 tablespoons sugar with flour, baking powder and salt; then cut in butter.
    Combine egg and milk and mix, stirring just until moist.
    Pit, peel and slice peaches; combine in a saucepan with remaining sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
    Cook medium heat until syrup is clear, thick and boiling 5 to 7 minutes.
    Pour into a 2-quart baking dish and drop dough in heaping tablespoons.
    Makes 6 portions.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden, about 20 minutes.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
