Easy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. canned fruit (peaches, plums, apricots, etc.)
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Bring fruit to boil in a saucepan; set aside to cool slightly.
    Melt butter or margarine in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan.
    Add the sugar, flour, baking powder and milk and mix together thoroughly.
    Pour slightly cooled fruit over the batter; do not stir.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30-40 minutes, or until cake tests done.
