Jim'S Crab Bisque - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    1/2 lb. lump white crabmeat
    1 tsp. simple syrup or sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 Tbsp. chopped green onions
Preparation
    In a heavy skillet, melt butter; stir in flour.
    Stir constantly while cooking on very low heat (cook about 2 minutes); don't brown.
    Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
    Add remaining ingredients (all except crabmeat) and cook 3 to 4 minutes on low heat, until thickened (consistency should be that of potato soup).
    Add crabmeat and simmer 5 minutes.
    Garnish each serving with a parsley sprig.
    Yields 4 cups.
