Beef Tamales - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. self-rising meal
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. red pepper
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 tsp. hot chili powder
    2 tsp. paprika
    2 Tbsp. cumin
    1/3 c. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add milk and shortening to make batter. Add beef and mix well.
    Place tablespoon on foil.
    Roll 3 times. Fold ends.
    Boil for 15 minutes.
