Savannah Spiced Peaches - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (29 oz.) can peach halves
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp. whole cloves
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
Philadelphia brand whipped cream cheese
Preparation

Drain peaches, reserving 3/4 cup syrup.
Heat together syrup, vinegar and spices; simmer 10 minutes.
Add peaches; cook an additional 5 minutes.
Remove peaches; strain liquid to remove spices.
Return peaches to liquid.
Serve warm, topped with whipped cream cheese.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
