Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    sugar for rolling cookies
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses and egg, beat well.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Cover and chill. Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease cookie sheets.
    Form dough into 1-inch balls.
    Roll each ball in sugar, place on cookie sheets 2-inches apart.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
    Let stand 1 minute, remove to rack to cool. Makes 48 cookies.
