Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. self-rising flour (unsifted)
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cloves
3 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. applesauce *

Applesauce may be changed to blended fruit of any kind: figs, plums, peaches, prunes, bananas, etc.
