Pumpkin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs, beaten slightly
    2 c. pumpkin (fresh or canned)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs, pumpkin and vanilla.
    Sift the next eight ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Bake cake in a 10-inch tube pan or Bundt
    pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Serve plain or top slices with whipped cream.
