Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onion, finely chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 c. catsup
    1/2 c. dry sherry
    1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
    In a deep saucepan, saute the onion and garlic in the melted butter for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and 1/2 cup water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Lower the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Strain through a fine sieve.
