Breakfast Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add egg and beat well. Stir in milk, then dry ingredients.
Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Sprinkle topping over.
