Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    1 c. nuts
    1 pkg. chocolate bits
    1 pkg. brown sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Melt shortening. Add brown sugar and stir until mixed.
    Cool.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat well.
    Add dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate bits. Pour into baking dish.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
