Herbed Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch young carrots
    2 green onions
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1/4 tsp. savory
    4 strips bacon
Preparation
    Scrub carrots; cut in half lengthwise and crosswise.
    Cut onions, including tops, into 1-inch pieces.
    Melt butter in a saucepan.
    Add carrots, onions, water and herbs, plus a little salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook until tender, about 20 minutes. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces; fry until crisp.
    Add to carrots just before serving.
    Serves 4.
