Grandmama Cobb'S Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large apples
    cold milk
    flour
    Crisco
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Peel and core 3 large apples.
    Cut them in slices 1/2-inch thick.
    Dip each slice in cold milk, then in flour.
    Put enough Crisco in frying pan to entirely cover the bottom; when hot, put in apples.
    Fry on both sides to an even brown, about 2 minutes for each side.
    Remove from fat; drain on soft paper.
    Dust with powdered sugar; serve.
