Buttermilk Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, salt, soda and sugar.
    Beat egg with half the buttermilk.
    Add to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
    Slowly add the remaining buttermilk to make a thin batter, stirring constantly.
    Mix in the melted shortening.
