Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bay leaf
    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 tsp. Cumin
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    1 tsp. Chill powder
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    10 c. water
    3 bouillon cubes
    1 can tomatoes cut into pieces
    1 can corn
    1/2 c. Quaker barley, uncooked
    5 medium Potatoes, diced
    3 medium Carrots, diced
    1/2 tsp. dried basil
    1 pkg vegetable soup seasoning mix
Preparation
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Brown ground beef with onions and salt and pepper.
    Put in a crock-pot or Dutch oven.
    Add all the ingredients and cook all day on low in crock-pot or simmer until done in dutch oven.
