Ingredients

3 onions, sliced thin
1/4 c. butter
4 c. beef bouillon
12 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
5 or 6 slices French bread, toasted
Preparation

Saute onions in butter until soft.
Add salt, toss well. (Onions should be golden brown, not dark.)
Add hot bouillon and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Ladle into heat-proof soup bowls.
Top each with piece of toasted French bread.
Spoon about 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese on top of each.
Bake in preheated oven 10 minutes at 300\u00b0.
