Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean hamburger
    5 c. water
    16 oz. can tomatoes, cut up
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 medium carrots, sliced
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1/2 c. pearl barley
    1/4 c. catsup
    1 Tbsp. beef bouillon
    2 tsp. seasoned salt
    1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
    1 bay leaf
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain off fat.
    In 3-quart or more soup kettle, place all ingredients.
    Bring to boil.
    Simmer, covered, for at least an hour.
    Longer cooking blends flavors more.
    Hearty and delicious!
