Oven Simmered Beef Brisket - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fresh beef brisket (4 lb.)
    2 1/2 c. apple juice
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. salad oil
    2 bay leaves
    1 clove garlic, minced/pressed
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. each: cornstarch and water
Preparation
    Trim and discard fat from meat.
    Place brisket in roasting pan.
    In bowl stir all ingredients but cornstarch and water. Marinate overnight in refrigerator.
    Bake covered in 350\u00b0 oven for 3 hours.
    Make gravy with cornstarch and water.
