Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) pkg. shredded frozen potatoes, thawed
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    12 oz. grated American cheese
    18 oz. sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 c. crushed cornflakes
    1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Place thawed potatoes in 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Mix next 6 ingredients and pour over potatoes.
    Top with cornflakes and drizzle butter over all.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Serves 12.
