Broccoli-Ham Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 oz. ham, diced
2 cloves garlic
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 c. chopped fresh tomato, skinned and seeded or 1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes, seeded (saving the juice)
3 c. chopped fresh broccoli, stems peeled
salt and pepper and a large pinch thyme leaves
6 c. chicken stock or 6 bouillon cubes plus 6 c. water
1/2 c. uncooked small shell pasta
Preparation

Saute ham and garlic in the olive oil, about 3 minutes.
Add tomato, chopped plus juice, stock, thyme, salt and pepper.
Bring to a simmer.
Then add broccoli and pasta and cook until all ingredients are tender, about 20 minutes.
Adjust seasoning. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.
