Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. flour
1 c. bell pepper
1 c. onion
sausage, chicken or shrimp
3 or 4 green onions, chopped
1 or 2 cloves garlic
1 c. celery
1 c. okra
salt and pepper
1 c. rice
Preparation
-
Brown in skillet the Crisco and flour.
Add onion, celery, okra and bell pepper.
Add 1 1/2 to 2 quarts of water.
Add tomato paste.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
