Glazed Onions Amandine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    36 small pearl onions or 3 c. sliced sweet onions
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 c. slivered blanched almonds
    1/4 tsp. black pepper or lemon pepper
    2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
Preparation
    Cook onions in lightly salted boiling water until tender. Drain.
    In skillet, melt oleo.
    Add rest of ingredients and cook slowly, stirring until onions are glazed and lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
    Delicious with roast beef or chicken.
    I use lemon pepper in this.
    Serves 4 to 6.
