Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium, fresh tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 celery ribs, diced
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. salt, divided
    1/2 tsp. pepper, divided
    4 medium green peppers
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. instant rice, cooked
    1 tsp. dried basil
Preparation
    In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine tomatoes, onion, celery, tomato sauce, water, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
