Italian Spaghetti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. cooked tomatoes
    2 c. uncooked spaghetti, broken into pieces
    shredded cheese
Preparation
    Cook onion, oil and sugar in a large pan until light brown. Add ground beef; crumble up and brown, stirring frequently.
    Drain off grease.
    Add tomatoes, cooked spaghetti and salt and pepper to taste.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover with lid and simmer 20 minutes.
    Stir often.
    Pour out in dish and put cheese on top, if desired.
