Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1 can coconut
    1 to 2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
Preparation
    Grease and flour large pan.
    Cover bottom of pan with chopped nuts (pecans).
    Mix butter, sugar and eggs.
    Add flour.
    Fold in chopped pineapple, cherries and coconut.
    Mix all up and spread over nuts.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    When cool, cut in bars.
