Nut Brownies - cooking recipe

2/3 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Blend sugar, Crisco and eggs.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Mix well. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Spread in greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle cooled brownies with confectioners sugar or spread with cocoa frosting.
