Hot Garlic Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 qt. water
    1 c. salt
    cucumbers
    dill weed
Preparation
    Place a small piece of garlic and 2 pods hot pepper and small head
    of
    dill
    in
    clean
    jars.
    Bring water, salt and vinegar to a boil; add sliced or small whole cucumbers to jars and
    pour boiling
    mixture over this.
    Add a pinch of alum to each
    jar
    and seal.
    Let
    stand
    for 2 weeks.
    Makes about 5 quarts of pickles.
