Peanut Patty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. red food color
    pinch of salt
    1 c. water
    3 1/4 c. raw Spanish peanuts
Preparation
    Bring to boil and cook to hard ball stage.
    Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 stick oleo.
    Beat until real thick and color changes.
    Pour onto greased cookie sheet or pizza pan; spread to edges.
    Cool and break into pieces.
    May also be dropped by tablespoon onto greased sheets, but must be done quickly.
