Sand Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    pecan halves (optional)
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar; add 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk (keep white).
    Sift flour and salt and add.
    Roll 1/4 dough at a time (thin).
    Cut with cookie cutter.
    Brush with egg white.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and add pecans if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown.
