Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
2 1/3 c. flour
1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. potato starch
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add flour, potato starch and baking powder.
Shape into two rolls and place side by side on a cookie sheet.
Make a slight indention down the middle of each roll.
Fill with fig jam (or any other jam).
Bake at 350\u00b0 until slightly golden.
Cut, while warm, in slices on a slant, one finger wide.
Let cool and store in a dry, tight container.
