Stuffed Bell Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. onion, chopped
    1 large (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. long grain rice, cooked
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    3 slices bacon, halved
    1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cut off tops of washed green peppers; remove seeds and membrane.
    Precook peppers in boiling salted water for 5 minutes; drain.
    (For crisp peppers, omit precooking.)
    Brown meat with onion.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Stir in tomatoes, rice, water and Worcestershire sauce.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
    Stuff bell peppers; place in baking dish.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
