Hot Buttered Apple Rum - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 inches cinnamon stick, broken
    1 tsp. allspice (whole)
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    7 c. apple juice
    1 to 1 1/2 c. rum
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Tie spices in a spice bag or cheesecloth.
    In a 3 1/2 or larger crock-pot, put spice bag, apple juice, rum and sugar.
    Cover; cook on low heat setting for 7 to 8 hours or on high 3 to 4 hours. Discard spice bag.
    Ladle hot punch into cups.
    Float about 1/2 teaspoon of butter atop each serving.
    Makes 10 (6-ounce) servings.
